Terms of Service

1. The Service

The Service provides tools to create profiles, browse tutors, post lesson requests, exchange messages and share tutoring materials. We may change or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

2. Accounts and Roles

• You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may act as a student or a tutor depending on your selected role and the features available.

3. Tutor-Student Relationship

Tutors are independent providers. We are not a party to any agreement between students and tutors and we do not guarantee lesson outcomes, tutor availability or suitability.

3A. Identity and Qualification Checks

• Some tutors may choose to submit an ID document and/or degrees, licences, certificates, or similar records for manual review.
• Badges such as "Identity checked" and "Credentials reviewed" mean only that the relevant documents or information were submitted and reviewed by our team to a reasonable extent under our internal process at the time of review.
• These checks do not amount to a guarantee or warranty that any document, identity, qualification, licence, certification, professional standing, or legal right to teach is genuine, accurate, current, complete, or suitable for your needs.
• Students and guardians remain responsible for using their own judgment and for carrying out any additional checks they consider appropriate before booking or attending lessons.
• Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights or other rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

4. User Content and Moderation

• You keep ownership of your content, but you grant us a license to host, display and process it for operating the Service.
• We may review, approve, reject or remove content (requests, materials, profiles) to enforce policies and keep the marketplace safe.
• Do not post illegal content, spam, harassment, hate speech, or content that violates others' rights.

5. Messaging, Requests and Limits

Messaging and requests may have limits based on your plan and our safety systems. Attempting to bypass limits or abuse the system may lead to suspension.

6. Paid Plans and Payments (if enabled)

• Paid plans may provide additional features (e.g., higher limits, boosts, AI assistance) and may auto-renew until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.
• Prices, taxes and plan features may change; we will communicate material changes where required.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for safety/security reasons.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
