Our foundation
Members of our team have been teaching since 2014 in private tutoring and academy-style environments. That means we do not view education as a generic marketplace problem. We understand the day-to-day reality behind lessons, families, expectations, and tutor work.
At the same time, the team brings backgrounds in mathematics, physics, software development, coding, and product building. That combination helps us connect educational judgment with technical execution.
Team members have studied in Greece and in England, and we have also taught and supported learners who study in England, Cyprus, the United States, Germany, and other countries.
Our mission
Our goal is to help students and parents find the right tutors through cleaner signals, safer contact flows, and more understandable profile information.
At the same time, we want tutors and academies to have an environment where they can present themselves professionally, organize their incoming opportunities, and grow their educational career more seriously.
We do not want to create only contact between two sides. We want to support healthier, more durable, and more useful learning relationships.
What we observed
Education has evolved technologically, but many products are still not built by people who truly understand what it means to teach or to search for the right tutor.
Some platforms emphasize visibility or fees more than fit, trust, and long-term collaboration quality.
When the product is disconnected from the reality of teaching, it is easy to build something that looks polished but solves the wrong problems.
That is why we focus on profiles, filters, safer contact flows, requests, study tools, AI support, and the full journey rather than only the first click.
Product direction
We want YourFavTeacher to keep evolving into a more mature network of tutors and academies with cleaner discovery, stronger profiles, structured requests, protected communication, study tools, materials, premium surfaces, and AI assistance where it truly adds value.
We do not add features only to look advanced. Every feature should improve discovery, study, collaboration, or professional presentation in a meaningful way.
AI and standards
AI is not a decorative layer for us. It belongs in the product where it can genuinely improve study workflow, support, organization, and educational usefulness.
We also rely on stricter internal criteria, marketplace rules, and evaluation standards that support platform quality and healthier collaborations between users.
Our objective is not just automation. It is better judgment, better organization, and better outcomes.
Greece first
Team members have studied in Greece and in England, which helps us think more broadly about product design, systems, and long-term expansion.
The platform already supports five languages because we want it to remain deeply relevant to Greece while also serving multilingual communities active in the local market.
We want a product that stays grounded in the Greek education reality while still being ready for a wider, multilingual audience.
What we keep as a principle
We do not want to build a platform that only looks busy. We want to build one that genuinely helps students find the right person, gives parents more confidence, and allows tutors to work inside a more mature and fair ecosystem.
Public presence and useful content
We invest in public content, blog posts, guides, social presence, and AI-assisted tools that strengthen trust through usefulness. We want the public image of YourFavTeacher to be built on value, consistency, and credibility.
